Coolset and OpenAtlas partner to combine verified geospatial intelligence with effortless, end-to-end EUDR compliance workflows
[Amsterdam, 4th September 2025] Coolset, the leading Dutch ESG and supply chain platform, today announced a strategic partnership with OpenAtlas, an Amsterdam-based geospatial analytics provider specializing in deforestation risk assessment. Together, the companies will deliver seamless EUDR compliance workflows powered by satellite-verified geospatial data, helping importers, traders and manufacturers meet the demands of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) reliably from one place within the Coolset platform.
Verified deforestation data meets structured EUDR reporting workflows
The EU Deforestation Regulation, which will be enforced starting December 30, 2025, requires companies to collect supplier data, trace product origins, conduct risk assessments and submit due diligence statements (DDS) to confirm their commodities are sourced from deforestation-free land.
Until now, these tasks have been fragmented across spreadsheets, emails and siloed tools, making compliance and audit preparation both labor-intensive and error-prone.
With Coolset and OpenAtlas combined, companies can now manage the entire EUDR compliance process end-to-end in the Coolset platform:
Collect and validate raw supplier and shipment data
Trace commodity origins in-app, supported by OpenAtlas’s geospatial datasets
Perform trusted deforestation risk assessments, leveraging high-resolution, high frequency satellite inputs with state-of-the-art machine learning analysis
Generate due diligence statements linked to verifiable evidence
Maintain traceable records to streamline reporting cycles and audits
“Verified geospatial data has become the backbone of trustworthy EUDR reporting,” said Harry Marshall, OpenAtlas CEO. “Through this partnership with Coolset, companies can now trace origins, assess risk and back their claims with trust-worthy, high-resolution satellite data.”
Effortless path to EUDR compliance for importers, traders and manufacturers
The solution is tailored to importers, traders and manufacturers dealing with any in-scope commodities (including: soy, palm oil, cattle, coffee, cocoa and timber).
Compliance and sustainability managers benefit from structured and audit-ready reporting workflows. Meanwhile, supply chain and quality teams gain access to built-in traceability tools, verifiable sourcing records and transparent risk scoring to accelerate internal checks and supplier collaboration.
“We built our EUDR solution specifically with the pressures compliance and supply chain teams face in mind,” said Konstantinos Kouzelis, Coolset CEO. “Our goal is to eliminate fragmentation and manual work while giving teams the confidence they need to meet regulatory deadlines.”
The platform also includes collaboration tools for supplier engagement, secure storage of origin data, automated DDS generation, and integration with other regulatory frameworks - including CSRD and GHG Scope 1-3 - allowing teams to manage all ESG and supply chain compliance efforts in one place.
