The Geospatial Part Of EUDR Should Not Require An Enterprise Contract
EUDR screening is easy to describe and hard to operate.
Companies need to know whether supplier plots intersect with post-2020
deforestation, protected areas, or indigenous lands. For large enterprise
buyers, that work often gets wrapped into consulting projects, internal GIS
workflows, or custom supply-chain software. Smaller companies have the same
regulatory pressure, but not the same budget or technical team.
Vantage makes that gap smaller.
A team should be able to upload a plot file, run the geospatial part of EUDR on
its own, review the exceptions, and submit the evidence into the system it
already uses. The workflow should not start with an enterprise sales cycle.
Vantage runs the geospatial checks itself: it checks supplier plots for
post-2020 deforestation and for overlaps with protected areas and indigenous
lands, then returns the results for review and export.
Dataset
We used a Dominican Republic coffee sample prepared from a larger open polygon
dataset. The upload sample has 40 coffee plots. It is small enough to run
quickly, but realistic enough to show the actual workflow: upload supplier
plots, run EUDR screening, review the exceptions, and export the result.
After a corrected Vantage rerun on 2026-08-11, the portfolio split was:
40 plots analyzed.
2 high EUDR risk plots.
4 medium EUDR risk plots.
34 low EUDR risk plots.
0 protected-area overlaps.
0 indigenous-land overlaps.

It becomes a short review queue: 6 plots out of 40 need attention, while the
remaining 34 can stay in the low-risk lane unless the user has other evidence to
check.
The first high-risk plot came back with 34.0% deforestation. The second high-risk
plot came back with 7.6% deforestation. Those are the plots a team would open first
in Vantage, inspect on the map, and package with evidence for follow-up.
A user brings a supplier plot file and gets the geospatial screening result
without a custom implementation.
The same checks can also be integrated into supply-chain management systems,
sourcing portals, ERP tools, compliance software, or internal supplier
onboarding workflows.
